Full Planning Approval for Bolton Old Links Golf Club

Full planning approval has been granted for the proposed redevelopment of Bolton Old Links Golf Club!

The approved design relocates the clubhouse higher up the hillside, creating a closer connection to the golf course while offering a striking architectural presence. This modern structure will harmonize with its natural surroundings, featuring fully accessible spaces designed to accommodate both public and private events.

The relocation promises to transform the clubhouse experience, with the sports bar and social spaces benefiting from breathtaking views of the course and the surrounding green countryside.

As part of this development, the current clubhouse, dating back to the 1800s, will be carefully demolished. However, the Grade II-listed Horrobin Cottage, located on the same Green Belt site, will remain untouched, preserving its historical significance.

The project also includes plans for a new state-of-the-art clubhouse near the tenth hole, alongside a residential development of 12 homes near Horrobin Cottage, ensuring a thoughtful balance between heritage and modernity.

This marks a significant step forward for Bolton Old Links Golf Club, combining architectural innovation with respect for the site’s historical and natural character.
